Every marketer in the world will tell you that you need to get your business on social media websites and it’s true, you really must but it's important that you don't just join every platform and start posting instead you should focus on 1-2 platforms that are right for your business. Having a Facebook page will allow you to position your business over the largest and most used social media service ever!!

You MUST be on Facebook whatever type of business you have.

Instagram boasts over 800 million users worldwide, it’s not surprising considering the brain processes images 60,000 times faster than it does text.

Instagram is a great platform for brands looking to connect with their audience that appreciates visually appealing content.

Engagement with brands on Instagram is 10 times higher than Facebook, 54 times higher than Pinterest and 84 times higher than Twitter. If your business sells products then Instagram is a great platform for you.

If you are a fashion, food, fitness or DIY brand Pinterest has a large female audience that you should be catering to.

Pinterest is a visual image site that allows you to put descriptions and links to other websites.


There are other social media platforms including Google+ and YouTube. ALL businesses should have profiles on these pages and be sharing quality content.

Google owns both of these platforms and having profiles on these will help Google find and index your website and increase your search engine ranking.
